Frequently Asked Questions About Meal Services

Get quick answers to common questions about payment options for in-home care in Arkansas.

Yes. We can come to your home, explain how the Arkansas ARChoices program works, and walk you through the application process step by step. Our goal is to make applying for Medicaid services as simple and stress-free as possible.

As one of Arkansas’s oldest ARChoices providers, Superior Senior Care has extensive experience helping families navigate the program and understand what to expect. Contact us and we can help you get started with the application and eligibility process.

Superior Senior Care partners with all four PASSE organizations currently operating in Arkansas: Arkansas Total Care, CareSource PASSE, Empower Healthcare Solutions, and Summit Community Care.

If you or your loved one is enrolled in a PASSE, our team can help you understand your in-home care authorization, coordinate with your PASSE care team, and determine how Superior Senior Care can assist with your approved services.

Veterans and surviving spouses may be eligible for the VA Aid and Attendance benefit when they meet certain military service, care-need, financial, and other VA requirements. Superior Senior Care partners with Veterans Home Care and its VetAssist Program to help families determine potential eligibility and navigate the VA application process.

VetAssist can help with eligibility review and VA paperwork and may help eligible families begin care sooner. Contact us and we can connect you with the VetAssist team to start the eligibility review.

The GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) Model is a Medicare program for eligible individuals living with dementia and the family or unpaid caregivers who support them. Superior Senior Care partners with LifeTouch Health to help Arkansas families access GUIDE services.

In general, participants must have a dementia diagnosis, be enrolled in Original Medicare rather than Medicare Advantage, and meet other eligibility requirements. GUIDE provides resources including a care navigator, caregiver support, benefit coordination, 24/7 assistance, and respite care for qualifying participants. Contact us today and we can help begin the eligibility process.

Yes. Many long-term care insurance policies include benefits that can help pay for in-home personal care and caregiver services. Superior Senior Care works with many long-term care insurance carriers, including Genworth, John Hancock, Bankers Life, Northwestern, New York Life, Transamerica, Unum and others.

Coverage varies by policy, so our team can help you understand the authorization and documentation process and work with your insurance carrier to determine what benefits may be available for your care.

Private Pay gives families a simple and flexible way to arrange in-home care without relying on an insurance or government program. We can help you build a care schedule around your needs and budget, and you may also be able to combine Private Pay with other available benefits.

For convenience, clients can choose their billing frequency and pay by check, automatic bank draft, or any major credit card. Contact your local Superior Senior Care office and we can explain the options and help you choose the arrangement that works best for your family.
